“ Westwood's new hidden gem! Just a few steps away from the train station, Iron Horse offered me an immediate reprieve from the rain and ultimately, a superb Friday night dinner. I am blown away by the transformation of this local watering hole. The staff was friendly and inviting, they promptly greeted me and took my wet coat which was an early indication of the level of service I could now expect from this establishment. I got their take on an old fashioned, which was superbly prepared with a smokey twist. Everyone in my party enjoyed their cocktails. There are also a number of beers on tap. We got the wings and bao buns as apps, they were huge! The honey sriracha wings were amazing. They didn't skimp on the meat and had a good balance of drums and flats. The bao buns were a cool American take on your typical bao. My partner and I split the steak and burger. Both were excellently prepared and the fries were quality as well. The steak was well seasoned and not overcooked. The vibe is more of a modern new American restaurant as opposed to the dive-y feel before the makeover. Very excited to return as the experience continues to gel. Yes I would recommend and yes I will go back. ”
“ This restaurant is under new management and it shows! I had the tater tot nachos to start. Tots were crispy and had tender short rib on top, delicious. My main meal was the salmon and it did not disappoint! Great presentation topped with a rich butter sauce. Service was friendly and I enjoyed my kissing tree cocktail. Love that the new team was able to keep the family restaurant feel and I can't wait to come back! ”
“ What a meal! To start they give you pickles and coleslaw for appetizer, which was fantastic. Wish more restaurants did this instead of bread. Got wings for the table, top 5 wings I've ever had. Buffalo sauce was perfect, and the wings were fried up perfectly. After that got the stuffed burger. Burger was cooked to order, and a great choice. Our server went above and beyond to mention which menu items weren't all that good, and what we should stick with. Will definitely be back. ”
“ Old homestead. Keep the soft pretzels on the menu permanently!!! Maybe start using a little more meat on the burgers.... Still great meat, and love all they gooey cheese, but it's really just become a ball of cheese coated in a charred shell. ”
